Dr. Meghan Dierks

Dr. Meghan M. Dierks is the Chief Data Officer at Komodo Health. In this role, Dr. Dierks oversees Komodo’s data strategy, including data acquisitions and management practices that unlock value from Komodo’s Healthcare Map. She is responsible for ensuring the data integrity, integration, connectivity, and security that underlies all of the company’s technology offerings.

Background.

 

Dr. Dierks is regarded as one of the country’s foremost authorities in healthcare informatics, bringing more than 20 years of experience in industry, academia, and government. Since 2001, she has served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School’s Division of Clinical Informatics. She has also served on advisory committees for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Department of Health and Human Services, the Institute of Medicine, and the Department of Defense. Prior to joining Komodo, Dr. Dierks held leadership roles at GE Healthcare, Magellan Health, and Lumeris Health Outcomes, and advised healthcare technology efforts for Verily and Google. 

Dr. Dierks holds a BA in biology from Brown University and an MD from the University of Texas Health, Houston. Dr. Dierks, completed a residency in General Surgery, a post-doctoral research fellowship in Surgical Oncology and Molecular Genetics at Washington University supported by the National Cancer Institute, and a post-doctoral fellowship in Biomedical Informatics at Harvard and MIT, supported by the NIH’s National Library of Medicine. Dr. Dierks also was a Visiting Scholar at MIT.
